Important: in case of a no-deal Brexit

posted on 04/09/19

Whether the UK leaves the EU with or without a deal on 31st October 2019, our tours are running as planned with the reassurance of the advice provided on the following government web page: https://www.gov.uk/visit-europe-brexit

In the event of a No Deal Brexit, UK citizens travelling to or via the European Union (to be precise, the Schengen Area, which includes Norway, Switzerland and Iceland) and EU citizens entering the UK, should in particular take note of the following:

From 1st November 2019:

1. Your passport will need to be valid for at least six months from the end of the festival or tour. If you renewed your last passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your current passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. In other words, for travel from 1st November 2019 your passport must have been issued on or after 2nd May 2010.

2. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) may be withdrawn. It would be all the more important, therefore, to ensure that you have travel insurance that covers medical treatment and repatriation. This is anyway a condition of booking with us.
