MRT lecturer Janet Sinclair becomes House and Collections Manager at Petworth House
posted on 22/12/15
This month, art historian and MRT lecturer Janet Sinclair has been appointed the role of House and Collections Manager at the National Trust’s Petworth House. The ducal palace was built in the late 17th century and is home to the National Trust’s most important collection of old masters and sculpture. Set in the picturesque South Downs, Petworth is fronted by an expansive landscape park by ‘Capability’ Brown which contains the largest herd of fallow deer in England.
Janet is a panel member of the Sustainable Communities Fund in the South Downs National Park and leads our South Downs tour, a survey of many great country houses and landscaped parks, including Petworth House, Goodwood House and Arundel Castle (pictured).
