Roisin Astell

Roisin studied History of Art at York University, before completing a Master’s at Oxford University and is about to complete her Ph.D. thesis at the University of Kent on English and French late-thirteenth to early fourteenth-century illuminated manuscripts. Her research interests include medieval Gothic art and architecture in France and England, as well transregional and transcultural exchange of medieval art and materials, and the Global Middle Ages. Roisin has taught Medieval art and architecture courses to both undergraduates and mature students at the universities of York, Edinburgh, Oxford, as well as University College London.
