
Mr Hermann Grampp
Hermann Grampp studied history at the Free University Berlin, the University of Cambridge and the Sorbonne/ENS in Paris. He holds Master degrees from these institutions. He is a specialist on Berlin/German history of the 19th and 20th centuries and music/opera history of the 19th century. He has published in particular on Richard Wagner, among others the volume Comprendre Wagner together with Dorian Astor (2013). He occasionally works as a music critic, and organises and conducts walking tours through Berlin focusing on specific cultural and historical topics. He regularly works at the German parliament (Bundestag) as a lecturer and acted as a specialist on German parliamentary history for the Bundestag’s exhibition at Deutscher Dom on Gendarmenmarkt.
