Cultural tours in the Americas

From Monument Valley, on the Colorado Plateau, to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru, our cultural tours of the Americas celebrate the most inspiring sites and achievements of this vast and diverse continent.

The United States boasts many of the world’s greatest art galleries in some of the world’s most thrilling cities – such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York or the Getty Museum in Los Angeles – and we view both art and architecture through the guiding eye of specialist critics, while the outstanding National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, which features on our tour of central Mexico, is a gateway to pre-Hispanic civilisations such as the Aztecs and the Maya. The latter are the focus of two adventurous itineraries in Central America that make a fascinating contrast with the architecture and culture you will see on our tour of Peru – not just the glories of Machu Picchu (which we visit as the crowds are thinning) but little visited, pre-Inca sites that number among the oldest on the continent.
