These tours are varied, full and active days spent exploring the art, architecture and history of the most diverse and exciting cities in the UK, in the company of carefully chosen experts who provide informative and enlightening commentary. Each is meticulously planned, with all-inclusive special arrangements and privileged access significant features.
London’s Underground Railway crosses the network from 1930s Arnos Grove to 21st-century Canary Wharf, while The Italian Renaissance is unravelled in front of paintings in the National Gallery’s fine collection. And The Backstreet Walk follows a route of almost 9 miles laced with delights and surprises through London parks, gardens, alleys and – well, backstreets.
All are accompanied by an administrator to ensure arrangements run smoothly. These are active days, often with a lot of walking and standing. Travel is mainly by Underground, sometimes taxi, occasionally by private coach or bus.
