Featured tours with low single supplements

Travelling Solo

People don’t wander onto our tours by accident. They’re fascinated by the themes and the destinations; and with guest lecturers on hand to deepen the sense of discovery and understanding as we go, our itineraries are journeys of the mind as much as the body. There’s a lot to share, and conversation comes naturally as result.

'As a Martin Randall Travel newbie I was full of expectations and a little trepidation as I now have to travel on my own. I needn't have worried. The niche tour subject matter means you're bound to be with people who share many of your interests and I never felt lonely or sidelined.'

Group Dynamics

On a typical MRT tour, 50% of participants are solo travellers. On evenings when dinner is not included there is always the option of dining with the tour manager.

Single Supplements

Hotels usually charge a supplement for single occupancy of a room, but we never add anything to this – indeed, some of the supplements we charge are subsidised by ourselves, sometimes by hundreds of pounds.

Ease of Travel

For flights and trains we try to choose the most convenient departure times. Rail journeys are usually in first-class seats.

" I made friends with one of the other travelers and we hope to do another MRT tour together in the future. " Essential Rome - The complete spectrum of art, architecture and antiquities
" I use Martin Randall Travel because I have utmost confidence in the fact that every detail has been meticulously planned and checked. As a single traveller in my 70s I want the reassurance that I will be well looked after. " Art in the Netherlands - A spectrum of the finest
" The trips are always of a high quality; it is so nice to have all the organisation taken care of, and to have access to events that would not be available to an independent traveller. " Great Gardens of Southern England - Horticulture historical and contemporary
" I thoroughly enjoy the diverse group of travellers and much appreciate the company of tour guide and lecturer " Essential Rome - The complete spectrum of art, architecture and antiquities

Generally not. As we make a group booking, for most airlines it is not possible to access it on their website to check-in online or select your seats. If you would prefer to do so, you can choose the ‘no flights’ option and book your own flights.

We do not impose lower or upper age limits. Our tours are unlikely to be suitable for younger children, however.
