Solo Travel Tours
Our expert-led, small-group solo travel tours take you all over the globe. From Europe to Asia, you will be surrounded by like-minded people that are never short of conversation or company.
Tour-goers are always fascinated by the themes and the destinations; and with guest lecturers on hand to deepen the sense of discovery and understanding as we go, our itineraries are journeys of the mind as much as the body.
Whichever destination piques your interest, all of our tours are designed to be welcoming and enriching for independent travelers - you’ll never feel alone—unless you want to. Indulge in a balance of solo travel freedom and shared experiences, making them ideal for those who love to explore but appreciate the camaraderie of a group.
Every itinerary is carefully curated to create meaningful connections - not just with the places we visit, but with fellow travelers. Shared transport, group meals and well-chosen hotels add to the sense of camaraderie. Even on those nights when dinner is not included, guests are very welcome to join the manager for a meal.
Our experienced tour managers are dab hands at breaking the ice, and will make sure everyone is properly introduced. There’s a lot to share, and conversation comes naturally as a result. As is normal for those travelling on their own, hotels do charge extra for the single occupancy of a room, but we never add anything to these supplements. In fact, we often subsidise them - sometimes by hundreds of pounds.

Travelling Solo
People don’t wander onto our tours by accident. 'As a Martin Randall Travel newbie I was full of expectations and a little trepidation as I now have to travel on my own. I needn't have worried. The niche tour subject matter means you're bound to be with people who share many of your interests and I never felt lonely or sidelined.'
Group Dynamics
On a typical MRT tour, 50% of participants are solo travellers. On evenings when dinner is not included there is always the option of dining with the tour manager.
Single Supplements
Hotels usually charge a supplement for single occupancy of a room, but we never add anything to this – indeed, some of the supplements we charge are subsidised by ourselves, sometimes by hundreds of pounds.
Ease of Travel
For flights and trains we try to choose the most convenient departure times. Rail journeys are usually in first-class seats.

Generally not. As we make a group booking, for most airlines it is not possible to access it on their website to check-in online or select your seats. If you would prefer to do so, you can choose the ‘no flights’ option and book your own flights.
We do not impose lower or upper age limits. Our tours are unlikely to be suitable for younger children, however.
