The parish church at Kilpeck in Herefordshire, with John McNeill

30 Jun 2020

John McNeill is one of Martin Randall Travel's longest-serving lecturers. In the thirty years he has worked for us he has guided hundreds of our clients through the medieval fabric of the UK, France, Italy and Spain. In his other life, John lectures for Oxford University’s Department of Continuing Education and is Honorary Secretary of the British Archaeological Association.

What follows is a video of the Romanesque parish church at Kilpeck in Herefordshire. It was made at a particular moment during the Coronavirus lockdown when travel restrictions had been lifted but churches were not yet open.

'John McNeill has an impressive command of his subjects, excellent vocabulary and presentation skills. And most impressively, a boundless enthusiasm to enhance the experience. The afternoon readings from Thucydides were an inspired choice.'
