Professor Richard Langham Smith recently appeared on Classic FM South Africa to discuss The Rhône: Bacchus & Orpheus 6–13 July 2017.
Richard explains how he and wine writer Marc Millon have created a programme which explores the close connections between wine and music. Richard also discusses the artists who will be performing the programme of French music in historic venues, as well as the wine houses and vineyards which will host wine tastings.
Richard is Research Professor at the Royal College of Music and has published widely on Debussy and Bizet.
